Biography
Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick was born on December 29th, 1998 in New York.
His father James Fitzpatrick is an actor and model, his mother Marty Davey is an actress. Seamus grew up in New York. The family moved to East Stroudsburg,
Pennsylvania, in 2001 after looking for an area with a small-town feel.
Seamus' first acting job came about when his mother, Marty Davey, had decided to leave acting and started to pursue her M.S. degree in nutrition.
Seamus was about a month old when Marty got a call from an "extra" casting director asking if she was still pregnant.
When they realized she had delivered, they asked if they could use the one month old Seamus to portray a "crack baby."
And thus began his illustrious acting career. It turned out to be a director's promo for a series that never got off the ground and has not
been seen since. Seamus was held by an actor on the rise, Mark Ruffalo, in a heart wrenching scene where Mr. Ruffalo was trying to decide if
he was cut out for his detective job trying to save babies just like the character Seamus was playing.
For the next couple of years Seamus' parents free lanced Seamus around several NYC's agents they had come to know,
and through which Seamus booked some catalogue print work, and a couple commercials. James and Marty chauferred Seamus around to his auditions depending
on which one was available.
Through James Fitzpatrick's fifteen years as a successful commercial actor and other agents, his parents got to know more specific to kids
Seamus began to develop a reputation as not only another pretty face but as an young actor with the ability to focus on his role.
Naturally his Dad introduced his son to his exclusive agent, Abrams Artists Agency, one of the top five agencies in NYC.
It wasn't long before Abrams decided to sign Seamus exclusively, as well... but Abrams signed Seamus "across the board", commercials, voice overs, TV, film,
theatre, etc. Seamus signed his first exclusive contract on July 1, 2003 at the ripe old age of four and a half.
He made his first appearance on the big screen in the 2006 remake of the movie The Omen, where he starred beside Julia Stiles,
Liev Schreiber and Mia Farrow in the role of "Damien Thorn". For a callback for The Omen Seamus went to Prague,
where the movie was filmed later, for a screen test. He had to swing slowly on a creaky swing. When the director called his name Seamus looked right
into the lens of the camera. The director was so impressed by the scene that he used it as a teaser trailer for the movie.
To his mother, Marty, that stare is familiar. She told that that is the look he gives her when she tells him to brush his teeth or do his chores.
For Seamus himself the stare was one of harder tasks of shooting the movie, because he always had to stare at the camera without blinking.
Seamus knew right away he'd be playing the devil's son in The Omen. His parents gave him the information when he got the call for the original
audition. At first he seemed slightly concerned, but his parents told him it's much more fun to play the bad guy.
The good guy has to do all that kissy face stuff!!! That convinced Seamus right away.
When Seamus got a recurring part on CBS' daytime drama Guiding Light James and Marty decided to start homeschooling Seamus. This gives them more freedom for filming schedules and auditions. In March 2008 Seamus booked a part in the upcoming comedy Everybody's Fine starring Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore and Kate Beckinsale. Seamus will play Young Robert Goode, the younger version of one of the main characters.
Seamus is a happy, talkaktive and very smart child. About himself he says he is 'really shy' and 'a little afraid of the dark'.
